Tesla Acquires Automation Company to Reduce Production Delay

Tesla is buying privately-owned Perbix, possibly to ease the sadness announced by carmakers last week when the company blames production losses of $ 690m on "bottlenecks" in production. Perbix has been supplying parts to Tesla for almost three years, but the acquisition will allow the company to produce more internally in-house to help it achieve its ambitions of making machines.

Tesla is buying privately-owned Perbix, possibly to ease the sadness announced by carmakers last week when the company blames production losses of $ 690m on “bottlenecks” in production. Perbix has been supplying parts to Tesla for almost three years, but the acquisition will allow the company to produce more internally in-house to help it achieve its ambitions of making machines.

Unfortunately, Tesla is currently struggling to build any machine and also announced in the earnings report that it will not be able to meet its target of producing 5,000 Type 3 sedan per week. Tesla was not disclosed as Perbix, but financial data showed that owner James S. Dudley received more than $ 10 million worth of Tesla shares. However, Perbix is an expensive solution to Tesla’s problem, but if Tesla does not solve the production problem, the cost will be more compared to Tesla.

  1. You have to know that Matsushita has supplied most of Japan’s batteries to Tesla to start production, leaving companies that need batteries to hit the gates of Samsung, LG and Murata (formerly Sony). As a result, IT, EVs and appliance companies around the world are not getting the materials they need and will not be able to get additional supplies until the first half of 2018.
